Sam Allen

Sam began to seriously develop his early childhood love of magic in 1990 whilst residing in California, USA, performing in local bars and clubs before immigrating to Australia in 1991. Once in Melbourne, Sam quickly developed a reputation within the magic scene as an accomplished magical entertainment and is now considered as one of Melbourne’s top Close-Up Magicians. Sam generally performs strolling or tableside Close-Up magic incorporating sleight of hand, comedy and storytelling. Notwithstanding his dexterity and expertise with a straight deck of cards, his repertoire also includes rope, coin, money and uniquely, several Origami routines. Sam has performed at various venues including Le Meridien, The Carlton Crest, Hyatt, Sheratone, Montsalvat, Eden on the Park, Mt Buller Chalet and many more.
