A renowned sneaker freak and hip hop junkie, M.A.F.I.A. has been killing them on the wheels of steel for over 10 years.

Having grown up at the fruition of Hip Hop in the late ‘70s/early ‘80s, M.A.F.I.A. became FLUORO BREAKER after falling in love with Boogaloo Shrimp in Breakin’. After winning every B-Girl competition she entered, M.A.F.I.A. hung up her knee spin for the turntables after amassing a huge collection of original pressing Hip Hop 12”s.

A celebrity in her own mind, M.A.F.I.A. is the go-to dj to get any party started, favouring the jiggy sounds of floorfillers after hanging up her backpack styles of the underground. Perhaps Melbourne’s hardest working female Hip Hop DJ, she has supported and toured with Stevie Wonder, Missy Elliott, Ca$h Money, Die Antwoord, Clipse, De La Soul, Lady Gaga, Lupe Fiasco, DJ Craze, Dead Prez, Rahzel, Arabian Prince, Spinderella, Ghostface Killah, Dizzee Rascal, Snoop Dogg, Vanilla Ice, Spank Rock, Kid Cudi, A-Trak, CSS, Coolio, Girl Talk, Chromeo, Felix Da Housecat, South Rakkas Crew, N.E.R.D, Grandmaster Flash, Tittsworth, DJ Spinbad, Russell Peters, Schwayze, Aloe Blacc to name but a few! Favoured by media mogul Lachlan Murdoch, M.A.F.I.A. was asked to DJ at the prestigious Ch 10 Logies After Party in 2011 and subsequently came on board as Ch 10’s official after party DJ spinning at the recent high profile Program Launch and Offspring Cast Wrap Party. Working with corporate powerhouses such as Dg3, MTV, Nike, adidas, Reebok, G-Shock, Create Awards plus starring in a recurring DJ role on ABC’s Spicks and Specks, M.A.F.I.A. is fast becoming the preferred DJ for high profile events.

She will also be spinning at the Cox Plate races this year along with Bag Raiders and Daryl Braithwaite. A regular on the festival circuit (Big Day Out 2006-2010, Summadazye, Future Music Festival 2009, Golden Plains, Meredith, Sounds Loud, Sounds Safari, Push Over) and a self-promotional machine, M.A.F.I.A. prides herself on playing to diverse crowds poppin’ out hip hop/rnb/booty bass/bmore/cock rock/pop/electro/house and everything in between.
