Like most comedians, David began his professional life as a financial analyst.

After 10 years in the stockbroking and oil industries, he decided to get serious about his career and he set up Laughing Matters in 1994. Before entering the workforce, David completed one of the least spectacular Commerce Degrees in the history of the University of Melbourne.

David writes for columns and TV, does stand up, improve, and videos.
