2010 was a pretty big year for Wil Anderson. His Helpmann Award-winning show Wilful Misconduct played to sell-out audiences right across Australia and New Zealand, was nominated for best show, and won the People’s Choice, at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

2010 also saw Wil’s TV career go from strength-to-strength. The third season of his AFI-award winning show The Gruen Transfer was the ABC’s highest rating regular series, and the spin-off election specials Gruen Nation were the highest rating shows on the network since Kath and Kim in 2003.

Wil was also nominated for a Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian television, and was named GQ Magazine’s Media Personality of the Year at their annual Man Of The Year awards.

2010 also saw Wil launch his new podcast TOFOP (30 Odd Foot Of Pod) which was named by iTunes as one of the best new podcasts of the year.

Wil also spent part of the year doing shows in the USA, including regular appearances on Chelsea Lately and headlining the world famous Hollywood Improv.

You may also know Wil as the former host of ABC’s The Glass House, the co-host of the breakfast show on Triple J, or drive show on Triple M. He wrote the popular Sunday Roast column in the Sunday magazine for six years, and is the author of two books Survival of the Dumbest and Friendly Fire. He has also released a stand-up DVD called Wilosophy.
