Bernadette Robinson
Bernadette Robinson's one-woman shows "You Might As Well Live", "Calling All Angels" and "Patsy Cline: Her Songs, Her Story" have had sell-out seasons in venues around Australia . The Australian Financial Review commented that her voice "…touches emotional chords with a delicacy and strength only a true artist can accomplish." Top rating Melbourne radio personality Ernie Sigley recently introduced her on his programme as "one of Australia 's greatest talents".
Bernadette has appeared as a special guest performer with the Australian Pops Orchestra and Australian Philharmonic Orchestra, presenting songs of Edith Piaf and Judy Garland in concert series at the Melbourne Concert Hall and the Sydney Opera House. She has also regularly played to packed houses at venues as diverse as The Famous Spiegeltent (in Melbourne and Sydney), The Universal Theatre, Capers and Mietta's in Melbourne and Marian Street Theatre, the Tilbury Hotel and Glen Street Theatre in Sydney.
Bernadette has performed at opening ceremonies for major sporting events, including Davis Cup finals and has appeared throughout Australia, Europe, North America and Asia at large corporate events.
A student of the renowned soprano Dame Joan Hammond, Bernadette has sung lead roles with the Wellington City Opera, Melbourne's Chamber Made Opera, at the Ballarat Opera Festival and in the musicals "Cats" and "The Venetian Twins", and has been nominated for both a Mo Award and a Melbourne Greenroom Award as Best Female Musical Theatre Performer. She was featured in the ABC Television programme "Class Acts" and was a regular cast member on Channel Ten's hit show "The Comedy Company.
She has recorded for ABC records and has also released two solo CDs which have sold well both locally and internationally.
