Katie Fischer

Katie Fischer is one of Australia's most popular and recognisable faces, with a career that spans remarkable success in Modelling, Acting, TV Presenting, Documentary Film making and alternative therapies, she has demonstrated a diverse skill set and broad range of talents.

As a wide eyed young beauty Katie was an overnight sensation on the world modelling scene when she graced the cover of Dolly magazine as the winner of its 1988 Covergirl search; this was the beginning of a long and successful career as a leader in the field of modelling. Since that first cover her amazing charisma and beauty have seen her travel the world and appear on the covers of magazines including Vogue Australia (four times), GQ, Black + White Mag , Cream and many more. She continues to be in demand as a model – an undeniable testament to her professionalism and popularity in a field notorious for its short lived careers.

Not content with just modelling Katie branched into acting and presenting in a number of film and television roles. In addition to this she has always been in demand as a TV Presenter where her effusive comedic style and intelligence has kept her returning to work in front of the public. A highlight of this aspect of Katie's career was a 90 minute “special” she wrote for and presented for Network Ten titled “Myth of the Perfect Woman”

Most recently Katie has relocated back to Australia from USA. She just completed filming on Seven Network's “It Takes Two”, she is also back on Foxtel as a panellist on “Beauty and the Beast” and is also involved in the development and piloting of a new series for Foxtel. She has also just completed Hosting a series of “Specials” for the Seven Network that will hit Australian TV screens soon.

During 2005 Katie has also featured on the popular TV Series “Celebrity Overhaul” for the Nine Network.

In 2004 Katie entered into a long term deal that saw her become the Face of AMP Capital Shopping Centres across Australia.

Having practiced meditation for over a decade and having gained so much from the practice, Katie decided to teach and graduated from Rishikesh, India. Kate teaches meditation from LA, Sydney or wherever she is in the world.

As if all this is not enough Katie has also recently completed the pilot for a TV doco-series about the effects of capitalism on women in 3rd world countries
