Jody

One of Australia’s most exciting media and entertainment talents, Jody McLeod’s stocks continue to soar as an acclaimed radio personality, club smashing DJ, TV host, actor and MC.

McLeod has amassed 10 years experience working in radio as both a presenter and producer, during which time she hosted the hugely popular night show slot for Melbourne Nova 100, which former DMG Radio Program Director Todd Campbell labelled “the best night show the network has ever had”. Between 2006-2011 McLeod was also the summer fill-in for top-rating Nova breakfast show hosts Hughesy & Kate.

As a DJ of eight years experience, McLeod has utilised her deft ear for floor-rocking beats to produce Australia’s top rating dance show Novanation, hosted by local legends John Course and Grant Smilie. She also boosted her ever-growing fan base by hosting the weekly show ‘Pump Class’ alongside industry legend James Ash (Rogue Traders).

Outside of her burgeoning radio career, McLeod remains one of country’s most in-demand DJs. She smashed dance floors at the 40 thousand strong Sensation NYE parties, Stereosonic events, while also playing in Mykonos for Ministry of Sound and completing annual tours of Bali. Her residencies and guest spots see her play 2-3 headline gigs a week throughout Australia’s as well regional areas in her home state of Victoria. McLeod’s flexibility behind the dex also ensures she’s a popular fixture at many corporate events including the Australian Open, VRC (Victorian Racing Carnival) and all Nova events.

So respected is McLeod for her DJ abilities that she is a Pioneer Pro DJ ambassador alongside the country’s no.1 spinners Stafford Brothers and as an extension of this, was chosen to judge EMI’s ‘She Can DJ’ competition this year.

With a voice for radio and a face for modelling (she’s been known to complete the odd bikini shoot or two), it’s no surprise that McLeod is in hot demand for her MC skills. She’s hosted the RSVP Hottest Tradie Competition, pop up shows for L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF), numerous events for Nova over the years and in-store appearances for The Veronicas, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian and Anthony Callea, among others.

Considering her multi-faceted talents it’s no surprise that the TV world beckoned, with McLeod recently taking over as host of Channel 31’s SpeakerTV (speakertv.com). She’s shortly due to add another string to her already impressive bow with a leading roll in the locally produced Holscope movie Pinball.
