What's Our Story?

Sydney this week and two venues to check out. All the ingredients were there for the demographic.

The Arthouse Hotel: http://www.thearthousehotel.com.au/venue-rooms/ and Hilton (three doors down), celebrating vertical and horizontal retro modern expressionist feel.

Great food, great service, events spaces and rooms at both locations each with personality that would impact guests and be perfect for demographic. Plus they fit the numbers!

It is really important for me to know how long people are in the space. Space changes.... or rather peoples perceptions of the space they are in change as a night or day event moves from start to finish. 

One thing I have learnt is to know where the toilets are, how far is it for people to go for a smoke and what security is available through the venue.  It is a 'MUST' to ensure Occupational Health and Safety is under control when a beverage package or cash bar is in the mix.

I want to thank both The Arthouse Hotel and also congratulate all the artists who had their works on the walls.  Perfectly gorgeous space with brilliant ceiling height.... and of course then there is the Hilton, who accommodated the changes in numbers, changed the room with such ease, organised a split second meeting with AV and had it all under control.

PS - always get a kick from looking up at the monorail -fantastic!

Now back to the Melbourne Comedy Festival for more 'out there' performers and side splitting moments!
